"The Michigan Harpist" Chanah Ambuter

Been a long time coming...

Hello, any readers out there!

Sorry for the delay in posts! In the time since the last one and this, I married (in my opinion) the best man in the world, we bought our first home, and we have begun to update it from the last time it was decorated (1974!).

I wanted to show you two photos of my harp room in progress. As soon as we install flooring and trim, it will be done!

I'm so excited to have a harp room that makes me smile when I walk into it. I'm convinced that our practicing environments affect our relationship with the instrument. If we practice in very close, cluttered, disorganized places, how can our minds give the music the space it needs to get "messy" and dismantled, itself?

What is your practicing space like?

(Oh, and here's a photo from the wedding! Christa Grix was kind enough to play for our ceremony, and afterwards, she let me try her electro-acoustically modified harp! The photographer went wild!).
